There are two ways to “Get Involved” with the Smoke on the Shores BBQ Championship – Sponsorship and/or Volunteer.
The Smoke on the Shores BBQ Championship is only possible with the support from the business community, private donors, and dedicated volunteers. Contributions to the Smoke on the Shores BBQ Championship allow us to continue our mission of exposing competition BBQ to the world! Details on both the sponsorship and volunteer opportunities are below.

JOIN THE SMOKE ON THE SHORES SPONSORSHIP TEAM!
The Smoke on the Shores BBQ Championship will draw 100+ BBQ competition teams from across the U.S. to compete in four categories: Ribs, Chicken, Pork and Brisket. The 100+ team field will include local, regional, and national teams. These professional teams will compete for prize money (over $15,000) and points towards the KCBS national BBQ team of the year chase.
Smoke on the Shores BBQ Championship is sanctioned by the Kansas City Barbecue Society (KCBS). KCBS sanctions and judges BBQ competitions across the U.S. and promotes barbeque as America's cuisine. It is the largest society of barbeque enthusiasts in the world, with over 16,000 members. KCBS sanctions over 300 events across the globe Each year. (www.KCBS.us)

“WHOLE HOG” SPONSORSHIP OPPORTUNITY - $2,500 CONTRIBUTION
“FULL RACK” SPONSORSHIP OPPORTUNITY - $1,500 CONTRIBUTION
"HALF RACK" SPONSORSHIP OPPORTUNITY - $500 CONTRIBUTION

Volunteers are needed for the following shift schedule:
Friday, March 14, 2025
Shift #1 – 11am-2pm
Shift #2 – 2pm-4pm
Shift #3 – 4pm-6pm
Saturday, March 15, 2025
Shift #4 – 7am-9am
Shift #5 – 9am-11am
Shift #6 – 11am-2pm
Shift #7 – 2pm-5pm
